Course Details:

This course provides an understanding of the basic legislation and requirements for raising awareness of disabilities in the workplace.

  

You will be provided with a short presentation, followed by an assessment. 

If you achieve 80% or more, you will pass the course, and will receive a printable certificate to place in your training records.

If you do not pass, you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment when you feel confident. 

Aims:

This course aims to raise awareness of the rights of people with disabilities in the workplace.

Objectives:

Learners will be able to:

  • Define a ‘disability’.
  • Understand the law regarding disabilities.
  • Identify key types of disability discrimination.
  • Identify Health and Safety disability myths.
  • Highlight employers’ responsibilities.
