Course Details:

This course takes an in-depth look at the need for departments to manage disciplinary and grievance processes.

  

You will be provided with a short presentation, followed by an assessment. 

If you achieve 80% or more, you will pass the course, and will receive a printable certificate to place in your training records.

If you do not pass, you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment when you feel confident.  

Aims:

This course aims to support management roles in developing appropriate disciplinary and grievance procedures.

Objectives:

Learners will be able to:

  • Recognise the importance of maintaining a fair and equitable workplace environment
  • Identify how policies, contracts and job descriptions set performance standards
  • Explore responses when a team member raises a grievance
  • Define the importance of SMART objectives for agreeing on performance improvement measures

The learner understands:

  • Communication processes to agree with standards of staff performance
  • Importance of keeping effective records of grievance and disciplinary processes
  • How using reflective learning can strengthen policies and procedures
