Course Details:

This course explains the purpose and requirements of a track and trace system. How the system can provide additional information to support the department. Also details of how the system should be managed. 

You will be presented with a short presentation, followed by an assessment. 

If you achieve 80% or more, you will pass the course, and will receive a printable certificate to place in your training records.

If you do not pass, you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment when you feel confident. 

Aims:

This course will provide learners with an understanding of decontamination track and trace systems. The requirements of managing the system and how it supports the department and users of the decontaminated instruments. 

Objectives:

Learners will be able to;

  • Understand the purpose of the track and trace system.
  • Explain functions of the system that will support the process.
  • Explain functions of the system that will support the user of the instruments.
  • Understand the requirements of a track and trace system.
  • Understand how the system can support patient association.
  • Understand the need for regular auditing and validation of the system.
