Course Details:

This course aims to provide an understanding of a person suffering from a stroke also known as a Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA).

You will be provided with a short presentation, followed by an assessment. 

If you achieve 80% or more, you will pass the course, and will receive a printable certificate to place in your training records.

If you do not pass, you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment when you feel confident. 

Aims:

  • Recognise the sign and symptoms of a stroke.
  • Respond immediately to a person suffering from a stroke
  • Understand the different types of stroke
  • Understand how to reduce the risks of having a stroke

  • How to effectively respond to a person suffering from a stroke
  • The possible causes for having a stroke
